The Real Blocker: You’re Out of Alignment
When I look back at myself 10 years ago, I see a woman who desperately wanted clarity but didn’t know how to get it. I was surrounded by people who didn’t really want me to succeed. I was taking cues from voices that weren’t aligned with God’s vision for me. And even when I prayed, my prayers were more about my problems than my positioning.
I lacked confidence.
I lacked identity.
And most importantly—I lacked the ability to hear God for myself consistently.
It wasn’t that I didn’t love God. I just didn’t know how to sit still long enough to hear Him clearly. I was chasing every other voice—mentors, leaders, even well-meaning friends—before I ever brought my questions to Him.
Why Hearing God Is the First Step to Building Bold
If you can’t hear God, you can’t build the right thing.
It’s that simple.
The enemy loves to keep us entangled in noise—misaligned assignments, unnecessary obligations, and good opportunities that aren’t God opportunities. This is how you end up soul-tied to the wrong projects, the wrong expectations, and the wrong identity.
Building bold isn’t just about having courage—it’s about having clarity. And clarity comes from His voice, not from a checklist.
Scripture Foundation
- John 10:27 – “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
- Isaiah 30:21 – “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
Action Steps: How to Start Hearing God for Yourself
- Create Space for Stillness
You cannot hear clearly in constant noise. Build intentional quiet time into your day—even if it’s just 10 minutes to sit with God before checking your phone.
(Use Isaiah 26:3 and Psalm 139:23-24 to help you)

Ask Root-Revealing Questions
Use your journal and scripture to ask deep, Holy Spirit-led questions:
- “Lord, what is the root of my fear about starting?”
- “Where am I out of alignment?”
- “What assignment have You not given me that I’ve picked up?”
- Go Back to the Last Thing He Said
Before asking for a new word, revisit the last instruction God gave you. The oil often flows from the last act of obedience, not a brand-new strategy.
- Test Every Voice Against His Word
God’s voice will never contradict His Word. Write down what you sense He’s saying and line it up with scripture.
Journal Prompts
- Where have I been relying on other people’s voices instead of God’s?
- What distractions have been pulling me out of alignment?
- What’s the last thing I know God told me to do, and have I fully obeyed?
Declarations
- I am a sheep who hears my Shepherd’s voice clearly.
- I build from clarity, not confusion.
- I refuse to carry assignments God never gave me.
- Your business model must be birthed in prayer, not pressure.
If you skip the listening stage, you’ll build a business that may look successful on paper but is spiritually bankrupt.
- Clarity eliminates unnecessary marketing “noise.”
When you’ve heard God, you know exactly who you’re called to and how to speak to them—without mimicking someone else’s strategy.
- Hearing God protects your provision.
God’s instructions are the blueprint for sustainable, supernatural provision. If you build without His voice, you’ll have to sustain it without His help.
Final Encouragement
Before you try to build bold, make sure you’ve heard God for yourself. This isn’t just about being confident—it’s about being certain that you are building His vision, not someone else’s.
Your next bold step isn’t a marketing plan. It’s getting still enough to hear His voice, obey what He’s already said, and trust that Heaven will back you.

Hi, I’m Idina—a Kingdom entrepreneur, Holy Spirit-led identity coach, and voice of truth called to help women heal, rediscover their God-given identity, and build with clarity and excellence.
My story is one of surrender, faith, and resilience. I know what it’s like to strive for validation, tie myself to the wrong people, and face the pain of misplaced trust—even within the church. But God healed me, restored my voice, and taught me how to build from a place of wholeness and Kingdom alignment to build healthy relationships with Him and with others.
"The vision God placed inside of you just needs to be unlocked, my job as your identity coach is to give you the keys to unlock it."
